We are excited to welcome you and your child to the adventure of Cub Scouts with Pack 80! Our program is designed for children in grades K-5 and is all about fun, friendship, learning, and personal growth. As part of the Scouts BSA family, Cub Scouts helps children develop character, leadership skills, citizenship, and physical fitness through engaging activities and outdoor experiences.
What to Expect
Time Commitment: From September through May, families can expect:
One Pack Meeting (all grades K-5) per month
One Den Meeting (grade-specific) per month
One Pack Adventure per month (optional)
Pack Meetings: Held on the first Thursday of each month at St. Ambrose Church (7520 S Boulder Rd, Boulder, CO 80303) from 6:30–7:30 PM.
Den Meetings: These smaller, focused grade-specific gatherings are scheduled separately. Please contact your den leader for specific times and dates. Typically, each parent will rotate responsibility for leading one den meeting during the year.
Pack Activities: Scouts participate in a variety of exciting events such as hikes, camping trips, service projects, educational outings like planetarium visits or the Pinewood Derby.
Advancement: Scouts can earn a rank based on their grade level by completing a minimum of 6 core adventures and 2 electives during the year:
Kindergarten: Lion
1st Grade: Tiger
2nd Grade: Wolf
3rd Grade: Bear
4th Grade: Webelos
5th Grade: Arrow of Light (AOL)
Parental Involvement: Cub Scouting is a family-centered program. We encourage all parents to get involved—whether as volunteers, leaders, or by supporting their Scout’s journey through participation and encouragement.
