Den A group of 4-10 same-grade children who meet regularly to complete activities and adventures appropriate to their rank.
Pack A collection of dens covering the K-5 grades (Lion through Webelos II ranks). A pack includes the scouts and adult volunteers.
Troop This term replaces "pack" for Scouts (children in Middle or High School). It is not used in Cub Scouting.
District A geographical area of the council.
Council An administrative body and separate legal entity chartered to be responsible for Scouting in a designated geographic territory.
Den Leader Volunteer adult leader who coordinates the den activities.
Cubmaster Volunteer adult leader of the pack.
PLM Monthly parent-led meetings for Den Leaders, parents and pack leadership to discuss upcoming programming and exchanging ideas.
Bobcat The first rank earned by Cub Scouts after Kindergarten. This badge can be obtained in one meeting by reviewing fundamentals of scouting like the Scout Oath, Scout Law and Cub Scout handshake.

Class A The button-up shirt, ideally worn with hat and neckerchief.
Class B The Pack 80 t-shirt.
Blue and Gold An annual dinner for Scouting held by Cub Scout packs, typically in February to celebrate the founding of the Boy Scouts of America in 1910 and Cub Scouting in 1930.
Pinewood Derby A pack activity that involves making and racing small wooden cars on a track.
